A downloadable Trading Card Game for Windows and macOS

Welcome to Challengers Of The Realm! 

In this demo of the upcoming digital version of our TCG you get access to a guided tutorial on how our gameplay works, and the opportunity to play with 2 different pre-constructed decks against an AI opponent!

Gameplay Basics:

Players start the game with 100HP and a 6 card opening hand. A Pre-Game Mulligan helps to strengthen that hand.    

Grace:

Grace replaces traditional mana or energy systems with something more dynamic. Each card has a Grace cost, and players Roll for Grace each turn using two d10s. The total becomes your available resource. There’s some luck involved—but with smart play, it’s more consistent and exciting than any resource system before it.

Flexible Turn Phases: 

Each turn comprises four strategic stages:

  • Upkeep: Reset your field, harvest resources, then choose to draw once and roll once, draw twice, or roll twice.
  • Prepare: Spend Grace to play cards from hand to field.
  • Engage: Command your Heroes to attack or unleash their abilities.
  • Respond: Your opponent decides how to resolve your Engage decisions and their turn begins

Incada: (In-CA-DA)

Incada is the core measure of power in Ileydria. It determines how many Tools a Hero can equip and, in the base set, who wins a Grapple engagement. Future expansions will introduce even more ways to use this unique stat.

Directional Combat:

Combat in Challengers of the Realm is simple and direct — 1-on-1 unless a card says otherwise. The attacker’s ATK is compared to the defender’s DEF to decide the outcome. During your Engage Phase, declare all your heroes’ actions at once; once declared, the Response Phase begins.

During the Response Phase, the defending player assigns Heroes to block attacks — each Hero can block one attacker. If the attacker’s ATK meets or exceeds the defender’s DEF, the defender is sent to the Infirmary. If the DEF is higher, both Heroes stay on the field.

If an attack goes unblocked — whether by choice, lack of available Heroes, or a special ability that bypasses defenses — the opponent takes HP damage equal to the attacker’s ATK.

The digital future:

Once we have completed our Kickstarter for for Physical TCG we plan on continuing this digital development and creating a 1 to 1 digital experience for our TCG.
